Emory University is a few days away, from unveiling its brand heart and vascular facilities. The enhanced care spaces are the outcome of an $87 million investment made by Emory Healthcare.
The new facilities boast a state of the art 16 bed cardiovascular intensive care unit, a set of cardiovascular and thoracic operating rooms catheterization laboratories and electrophysiology laboratories equipped with cutting edge technology and the latest tools.
Among the highlights is a room that employs a robot for more precise incisions. Dr. Angel Leon, the director of Emory Heart & Vascular expressed excitement about how these new facilities will improve patient care expand procedural capabilities and access and uphold a culture of innovation and excellence throughout the service line.
